Boy they sure kill the threads in this minor forum
Must not like coin collectors - only bullion grabbers. :Sorry: :bawling: :Sorry:

Not sure if this is a good reply ~ but I still hold true to my numismatic heritage.....
I've been collecting coins since 1986. :emotions16: Over the weekend, I pulled out my GOLD coins including Double Eagles, Eagles, and Half Eagles..... The market for Half Eagles is amazing because it's soooo hard to obtain those little guys for near melt prices. Even the circulated specimens have a small premium. Luckily, I bought 3 of them last summer when Gold was in the $570's and I'm very happy with my 1893, 1897, and 1898-S. Common dates but 19th century coins are very attractive to me. Anyhow, as bullion goes up, bullion-based common numismatics rise yet don't seem to fall or take the 'hit' when the bullion drops or dips. Lot's of price insurance with 100+ year old coins. |

so long as I am a net buyer of one thing, I like it not to be popular.
now I like PMs and numismatics, so I dont care to boost either one too much. the day I become a net seller I will do "promotion duty" but not much before then. :D |

I don't know why the system is set up like this, but if you are on the home screen for the numismaitcs section and scroll to the bottom there are display options.
It defaults to show threads posted within the past 24 hours. You can select week, month or from the beginning. I agree, it is a conspiracy against up numismatists! The Great Ag |
